Telegram alerts help you notice agent disconnections and server errors without keeping a browser tab open. Rust Admin also offers notices about available updates to installed plugins.
Enable and test alerts
- Open Notifications and create a Telegram connection link.
- Follow the link to the bot, confirm and check the connected status in the panel.
- Enable server availability and any console-error or plugin-update events you need.
- Send a test notification and confirm delivery on your device.
Staff notifications depend on their section access for each server. Also check whether the bot is muted in Telegram.
Understand an offline event
Availability tracks the agent's connection to Rust Admin. Game shutdown, host reboot or a network problem can interrupt it. This alone does not prove that players cannot reach the game port: check the hosting console and an actual game connection.
Turn alerts into action
During planned maintenance, expect a disconnect followed by reconnection. If the server does not return, check process startup at the host. Treat plugin notices as maintenance reminders, and investigate repeated errors rather than simply dismissing their notifications.
