When several plugins change at once, a broken command becomes hard to trace. Update one plugin on one server first. Rust Admin provides a shared interface for installed plugins and the uMod and SkyPlugins catalogues.

Step 3Verify, then roll out

Preserve a working copy

Save the current plugin file and configuration. Back up important player data through your hosting tools where needed. Read the release notes for changed settings and dependencies; a catalogue update does not guarantee compatibility with your setup.

Test a controlled update

  1. Confirm the target server, plugin and version.
  2. Update during maintenance. Check licence access for paid plugins.
  3. Look for successful loading and errors in the console.
  4. Exercise the actual game feature, including its permissions and integrations.

Roll out after verification

Only repeat the update on other servers after the scenario passes. If it fails, stop the rollout. Restoring an older plugin may also require compatible configuration or data: follow the author's instructions. Rust Admin simplifies version management; backups and game testing remain part of the maintenance process.
