A screenshot and a display name can leave a moderator with incomplete context. Start with the original message and the player's SteamID. Rust Admin connects chat review with player profiles in the browser.
Review a violation
- Select the server and find the message around the reported time.
- Read nearby messages to understand replies and quotations.
- Verify the SteamID and review mute history.
- Apply the relevant server rule with a proportionate duration and a clear reason.
Check automated decisions
Start automatic moderation rules with clear examples from your community. Ambiguous language may need manual review. Where AI verification is enabled, some actions wait for processing: queued does not mean a mute has been issued. Confirm the result before reporting enforcement.
Keep staff decisions consistent
Browser access lets moderators review chat without staying in the game. Owners can grant the relevant section on selected servers. Agree on rules, durations and an appeal process beforehand. The panel helps gather context and perform actions; your team still determines how rules are applied.
