Rust Admin's reports view shows the server, time, sender, target and complaint text. Use it to organise incoming reports around the incident you are reviewing.
Prioritise the review
Filter by server and report type. Sort by time for a recent incident or complaint count to identify cases needing attention. Several complaints justify review; they are not proof of misconduct.
Check the case
- Identify the event's server and time.
- Open the target profile by SteamID, since display names can change.
- Compare the allegation with available chat, punishment history and activity. Cheating allegations may need additional evidence.
- Apply your project rules and preserve a clear reason in the relevant action record or note.
Coordinate with colleagues
Agree who is handling the case and share the result. Viewing a report does not automatically assign it to you. Before taking action, check whether another moderator already handled it. Rust Admin reduces navigation between reports and player information; the team still evaluates the evidence and documents what remains uncertain.
